ARDEX A 826 is a brilliant white, rapid hardening, ultra-fine plaster designed for the smoothing and finishing of interior walls and ceilings. It delivers a true feather finish and can be painted in as little as one hour — no sanding required. Perfect for creating ultra-smooth finishes on walls and ceilings, ARDEX A 826 is ideal for new builds, refurbishments, and high-end finishing projects where a flawless surface is essential.

Ideal Applications

ARDEX A 826 provides an exceptional background for paint or wallpaper finishes and is perfect for:

  • Plasterboards and construction boards
  • Pre-rendered and suitable concrete surfaces
  • Aerated concrete and lightweight blockwork
  • Filling joints between plasterboards and fine surface finishing
  • Areas requiring ultra-smooth finishes, such as those with spotlighting or direct lighting

Mixing & Application

Gradually add 2 parts powder to 1 part clean water (approximately 16L water per 25kg bag) while mixing continuously using a drill and mixing paddle. Allow the mixture to stand for 2–3 minutes, then remix to a smooth, creamy consistency. The working time is approximately 1 hour at 20°C.

Apply ARDEX A 826 using a trowel, blade, or filling knife in a single coat. The unique hardening technology allows entire walls or ceilings to be smoothed in one pass. Finish using a damp sponge — no sanding required. Apply at temperatures above 5°C.

Drying & Finishing

  • Surface dry: 1–2 hours
  • Ready for paint or wallpaper: Once surface is dry
  • Recommended thickness: Feather edge up to 10mm

Drying times may vary depending on layer thickness, substrate porosity, and ambient temperature. At 20°C, skim coats can be ready to paint within 1 hour.

Supplied in 25kg paper sacks with polyethylene lining. Store in original, unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, off the ground and protected from moisture. Shelf life: 12 months.

We currently only deliver to UK Mainland and the Highlands. We do not deliver to the Islands, Ireland, or Northern Ireland.


Next Working Day Delivery (Subject to Stock Availability):

Orders placed before 12:00 pm (noon) will be delivered the next working day, excluding weekends and holidays. This service starts from £6.50 (including VAT) and the final cost is based on the weight of your order and your delivery location. Economy Service (2-3 Working Days):

This service is only available for orders over 50kg. There is no additional charge for this service.


Sample Orders:

All sample orders are shipped for free via Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 24 service. Delivery typically takes 1-3 working days.


Delivery Methods:

Non-sample orders under 50kg will be dispatched via DPD or APC Overnight. Non-sample orders over 50kg (quarter, half, and full pallets) will be dispatched via Palletways or Kandrmason (curbside delivery only).

A 20% restocking fee will be applied. (Item must be in re-sellable condition)

30-day return window

Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery. You also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right from the date of receipt.

Items must be unused & in original packaging

Returned goods must be uninstalled, unaltered and in the same condition as received.

Installed or cut items cannot be returned

Once tiles or materials have been cut, altered or installed, no return or refund is possible under any circumstances.

How to start a return

Contact us first at info@tileexperience.co.uk or call 0208 689 4187. Send the item back with your name and order number. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Refund to original payment method

Processed within 3–5 working days of us receiving and approving your return.

Original delivery charges are not refunded. If no refund after 15 business days, contact us.

Damaged or incorrect items

Report within 48 hours of receipt. Email info@tileexperience.co.uk with your order number and photos of the damage. Confirmed replacements are sent next working day at no charge.

Non-stocked brands — restocking fee may apply

Returns for Genesis, Marmox and Bihui carry up to a 20% restocking fee. Schluter trims: 35% standard return, 15% if returning with a replacement order.

Cancellations

Cancel before dispatch for a full refund including delivery. Cancel after dispatch by rejecting the delivery — refund for goods only, not the delivery charge.

Important: Do not book a tiler or fitter until your order has arrived and been fully checked. Installed tiles cannot be returned.
