Product Description

ARDEX AF 785 is ideal for all types of linoleum sheet and tiles, and can be used in combination with ARDEX latex or water-based levelling compounds. It provides excellent bond strength and adhesion while minimising the risk of adhesive serration showing through the floorcovering. Suitable for use with chairs fitted with castor wheels, this adhesive delivers reliable performance in both domestic and commercial settings.

Application Instructions

Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and at the recommended temperature (BS 8203). Apply ARDEX AF 785 evenly using a serrated trowel at a 60° angle. Position linoleum directly into the wet adhesive after 0–5 minutes airing time. Only apply as much adhesive as can be covered within the working time. Remove air pockets using a cork board or rubbing tool, and roll the floorcovering with a 68kg roller side to side and end to end. Wait at least 48 hours before wet cleaning.

Priming

Priming is generally not required. On highly absorbent surfaces, priming with ARDEX P 51 (1:3 dilution with water) can improve working time and coverage.

Cleaning

Wipe up spills immediately with a damp cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents unless approved by the floorcovering manufacturer.

Storage & Safety

Store unopened tubs in a cool, dry area, away from draughts. Shelf life is 12 months. Avoid skin and eye contact. Wash thoroughly if contact occurs, and seek medical advice if ingested or in case of eye exposure.

Delivery Area:

We currently only deliver to UK Mainland and the Highlands. We do not deliver to the Islands, Ireland, or Northern Ireland.


Next Working Day Delivery (Subject to Stock Availability):

Orders placed before 12:00 pm (noon) will be delivered the next working day, excluding weekends and holidays. This service starts from £6.50 (including VAT) and the final cost is based on the weight of your order and your delivery location. You can check the exact cost in your shopping cart or on the checkout page by entering your postcode.

Economy Service (2-3 Working Days):

This service is only available for orders over 50kg. There is no additional charge for this service.


Sample Orders:

All sample orders are shipped for free via Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 24 service. Delivery typically takes 1-3 working days.


Delivery Methods:

Non-sample orders under 50kg will be dispatched via DPD or APC Overnight. Non-sample orders over 50kg (quarter, half, and full pallets) will be dispatched via Palletways or Kandrmason (curbside delivery only).

30-day return window

Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery. You also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right from the date of receipt.

Items must be unused & in original packaging

Returned goods must be uninstalled, unaltered and in the same condition as received.

Installed or cut items cannot be returned

Once tiles or materials have been cut, altered or installed, no return or refund is possible under any circumstances.

How to start a return

Contact us first at info@tileexperience.co.uk or call 0208 689 4187. Send the item back with your name and order number. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Refund to original payment method

Processed within 3–5 working days of us receiving and approving your return.

Original delivery charges are not refunded. If no refund after 15 business days, contact us.

Damaged or incorrect items

Report within 48 hours of receipt. Email info@tileexperience.co.uk with your order number and photos of the damage. Confirmed replacements are sent next working day at no charge.

Non-stocked brands — restocking fee may apply

Returns for Genesis, Marmox and Bihui carry up to a 20% restocking fee. Schluter trims: 35% standard return, 15% if returning with a replacement order.

Cancellations

Cancel before dispatch for a full refund including delivery. Cancel after dispatch by rejecting the delivery — refund for goods only, not the delivery charge.

Important: Do not book a tiler or fitter until your order has arrived and been fully checked. Installed tiles cannot be returned.
