Ardex DPM 1 C Damp Proof Membrane One Coat Damp Proof Membrane and Residual Moisture Suppressant

  • Suitable for cement/sand screeds containing underfloor heating systems

Apply ARDEX DPM 1 C to protect the floorcovering installation from residual construction moisture and ground bearing moisture. Ideal for use where there is no functioning structural DPM (common in older properties).

ARDEX DPM 1 C is a one coat solvent free, low viscosity, two component epoxy resin. After hardening, ARDEX DPM 1 C produces a membrane which can accommodate hygrometer readings up to 98% with high inherent bond strength. ARDEX DPM 1 C has excellent resistance to water, grease, oil, aqueous salt solution and dilute mineral and organic acids.

Density at 20°C: 1.54

Working Time: 20 minutes at 20°C

Over Coating if required: 6-8 hours at 20°C

Walkability at 20°C: After 6 hours

APPLICATION
Apply an even coat of the mixed ARDEX DPM 1 C with a suitable V shaped notched trowel over the appropriate area, see table below. Whilst the ARDEX DPM 1 C is still wet, the serration ridges should be flattened out with a long handled short pile paint roller, initially pre-wetted with the mixed ARDEX DPM 1 C.

The applied film thickness can be checked with wet film thickness gauge. It is essential that the applied ARDEX DPM 1 C is a continuous film and free from pinholes, cavities or thin patches, which can occur on porous screeds for example, in this case an additional application, may be necessary. 

Evenly spread the mixed unit over one of the following approximate areas, dependent on the surface texture and thickness required:

Delivery Area:

We currently only deliver to UK Mainland and the Highlands. We do not deliver to the Islands, Ireland, or Northern Ireland.


Next Working Day Delivery (Subject to Stock Availability):

Orders placed before 12:00 pm (noon) will be delivered the next working day, excluding weekends and holidays. This service starts from £6.50 (including VAT) and the final cost is based on the weight of your order and your delivery location. You can check the exact cost in your shopping cart or on the checkout page by entering your postcode.

Economy Service (2-3 Working Days):

This service is only available for orders over 50kg. There is no additional charge for this service.


Sample Orders:

All sample orders are shipped for free via Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 24 service. Delivery typically takes 1-3 working days.


Delivery Methods:

Non-sample orders under 50kg will be dispatched via DPD or APC Overnight. Non-sample orders over 50kg (quarter, half, and full pallets) will be dispatched via Palletways or Kandrmason.
