Where to Use

ARDEX R 1 is suitable for smoothing and plastering walls and ceilings in dry internal areas prior to applying paints, wallpapers, or dispersion-based renders. It adheres directly to:

Mixing Instructions

3. Allow to stand for 2–3 minutes, then remix before application.
4. Working time: approx. 30 minutes.

Application Guide

Apply ARDEX R 1 with a trowel, blade, or filling knife. For best results, use a two-coat process:

• Fill holes gradually from the edges to avoid air bubbles.
• Remove imperfections with a damp sponge before drying to minimise sanding.
• Can be trowelled or sanded smooth once hardened.
• Apply at temperatures above 5 °C.
