BAL Waterproof 1C is a ready-to-use, rapid-setting one coat waterproofing system for tiling in internal wet areas. Ready to tile after only 2 hours, Waterproof 1C can be applied with a brush, trowel or roller and no mixing is required! What’s more it can be used without priming on certain backgrounds, and provides crack bridging without tape on static cracks or board joints up to 3mm. Includes Fibre Strand Technology for improved strength.
A one-coat solution without the faff, BAL Waterproof 1C is suitable for all internal domestic and small commercial applications. Easy to apply straight out of the bucket, it provides coverage of up to 6m2 – perfect for any domestic shower, bathroom or wetroom. Provides complete protection against water ingress, giving you peace of mind that your project will last the test of time. Comes with a 25 year written product guarantee
Use for Providing complete waterproofing protection of substrates prior to fixing Wall and Floor tiles Suitable for use in internal domestic and commercial situations. All corner/edges must be reinforced with BAL SCRIM TAPE which is required at:
- Where movement may occur such as around drainage channels, junctions between floor and wall, preventing water penetration through suspended floors.
- Recommended for showers/ wet rooms/ kitchens/ laundry/utility room, and around drainage/ upstands
Restrictions: NOT suitable for External use, total immersion, barrier to prevent water ingress from background/base (e.g. DPM).

30-day return window
Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery. You also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right from the date of receipt.
Items must be unused & in original packaging
Returned goods must be uninstalled, unaltered and in the same condition as received.
Installed or cut items cannot be returned
Once tiles or materials have been cut, altered or installed, no return or refund is possible under any circumstances.
How to start a return
Contact us first at info@tileexperience.co.uk or call 0208 689 4187. Send the item back with your name and order number. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
Refund to original payment method
Processed within 3–5 working days of us receiving and approving your return.
Original delivery charges are not refunded. If no refund after 15 business days, contact us.
Damaged or incorrect items
Report within 48 hours of receipt. Email info@tileexperience.co.uk with your order number and photos of the damage. Confirmed replacements are sent next working day at no charge.
Non-stocked brands — restocking fee may apply
Returns for Genesis, Marmox and Bihui carry up to a 20% restocking fee. Schluter trims: 35% standard return, 15% if returning with a replacement order.
Cancellations
Cancel before dispatch for a full refund including delivery. Cancel after dispatch by rejecting the delivery — refund for goods only, not the delivery charge.
