Product Description
Schlüter-DITRA is a premium polypropylene mat engineered for efficient and reliable tile installation. It features EasyCut gridlines and dovetailed EasyFill recesses, reinforced with an anchoring fleece laminated to the underside for superior bonding and performance.

Uncoupling
- Separates the tile covering from the substrate, neutralizing stresses caused by substrate movement.
- Bridges tension cracks, preventing them from transferring to the tile surface.
Waterproofing
- Acts as a waterproof barrier with high vapor diffusion resistance.
- When installed with sealed joints, it forms a certified bonded waterproofing assembly.
- Complies with German waterproofing standards 18531-5 and 18534 (suitable for classes W0-I to W3-I).
- Protects substructures from moisture and aggressive substances.
Vapour Pressure Equalisation
- Open air channels on the underside ensure effective vapor pressure equalisation.
- Accommodates moisture impact from below the substrate.
Load Distribution
- Distributes mechanical stresses evenly for maximum tile durability.
- Suitable for tiles ≥ 5 x 5 cm with thickness ≥ 5.5 mm.
- Ideal for high-traffic areas, commercial spaces, and heavy load applications.
- Complies with ZDB guidelines for ceramic coverings under high stress.
Bonded Assembly
- Creates a strong bond between tile and substrate via anchoring fleece and mechanically interlocked adhesive.
- Suitable for wall and floor installations.
- Additional wall plugs available for enhanced vertical attachment.
Installation Instructions
- Ensure the substrate is level, clean, and load-bearing.
- Apply a suitable cementitious adhesive with a 3 x 3 mm or 4 x 4 mm notched trowel.
- Fully embed the anchoring fleece and allow adhesive to cure.
- Install tile covering directly over DITRA using the thin-bed method, ensuring adhesive fills dovetailed recesses.

Returns & Refunds
30-day return window
Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery. You also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right from the date of receipt.
Items must be unused & in original packaging
Returned goods must be uninstalled, unaltered and in the same condition as received.
Installed or cut items cannot be returned
Once tiles or materials have been cut, altered or installed, no return or refund is possible under any circumstances.
How to start a return
Contact us first at info@tileexperience.co.uk or call 0208 689 4187. Send the item back with your name and order number. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
Refund to original payment method
Processed within 3–5 working days of us receiving and approving your return.
Original delivery charges are not refunded. If no refund after 15 business days, contact us.
Damaged or incorrect items
Report within 48 hours of receipt. Email info@tileexperience.co.uk with your order number and photos of the damage. Confirmed replacements are sent next working day at no charge.
Non-stocked brands — restocking fee may apply
Returns for Genesis, Marmox and Bihui carry up to a 20% restocking fee. Schluter trims: 35% standard return, 15% if returning with a replacement order.
Cancellations
Cancel before dispatch for a full refund including delivery. Cancel after dispatch by rejecting the delivery — refund for goods only, not the delivery charge.

Delivery Costs
Delivery charges are calculated based on the weight of your order and your delivery postcode. You can check the exact delivery cost in your basket or at checkout before placing your order.
Delivery Area
We currently deliver to UK Mainland and selected Highlands postcodes. Unfortunately, we do not deliver to the Islands, Ireland, or Northern Ireland.
Next Working Day Delivery
Orders placed before 12:00pm are eligible for next working day delivery, subject to stock availability. This excludes weekends and public holidays.
Prices start from £6.50 inc VAT, with the final cost based on your order weight and delivery location.
Genesis non-stock items: order by 11:00am for next working day dispatch eligibility.
Scotland Postcode Exceptions
Next working day delivery is not available for the following postcode areas: AB, IV, KW, and PA.
Economy Delivery (2–3 Working Days)
Economy delivery is available for orders over 50kg. There is no additional charge for this service.
Sample Orders
Sample orders are delivered free of charge via Royal Mail Tracked 24 or 48. Delivery usually takes 1–3 working days.
Delivery Methods
- Orders under 50kg: usually sent via DPD or APC Overnight.
- Orders over 50kg: usually delivered on a quarter, half, or full pallet via Palletways or Kandrmason.
- Pallet deliveries are kerbside only and are subject to access and vehicle restrictions.

Returns Information
Important return conditions, timings, and trim-specific charges.
General Returns Policy
- Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us within 48 hours of receipt if any item is damaged, defective, or incorrect.
- We will replace items damaged in transit, provided the issue is reported within 30 days of delivery.
- We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, subject to the goods being returned in suitable condition.
- For non-fault returns, including change of mind, ordering the wrong item, or ordering too much, the customer is responsible for the return cost.
- Refunds are processed once the returned goods have been received and checked at our warehouse.
Returning Trims
Schlüter Trims (Non-Stock Special items)
- Returns are subject to a 35% restocking fee.
- If you are returning an item and ordering a replacement, a 15% restocking fee applies.
- Customers are responsible for arranging the return unless otherwise agreed.
- If we arrange collection, a £35 collection charge will apply.
Mapei Profilpas Trims (Non-Stock Special Items)
- Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
- Items must be returned in re-saleable condition.
- The customer is responsible for returning the goods.
