Application overview

1) Substrate preparation

Substrates must be dry, solid and clean, free from dust, loose material, paint, wax, oil, rust and any traces of gypsum. Remove weak cement-based surfaces and repair cracks before levelling.

  • Cementitious subfloors typically require a suitable primer coat before levelling.
  • Anhydrite screeds should be abraded to remove surface laitance, then primed before application.
  • Ceramic/natural stone should be thoroughly cleaned, abraded, then primed for best adhesion.

2) Mixing

Add 20kg powder to 4.8–5.0L of clean water and mix with a low-speed mixer until smooth and lump-free. Allow to rest for 2–3 minutes, then re-mix briefly.

Pot life: use the mixed material within approximately 20–30 minutes (at ~23°C).

3) Application

Apply in a single coat from 3–10mm using a large metal trowel or rake, holding the tool slightly inclined to control thickness. The compound self-levels rapidly and helps minimise small surface imperfections.

4) Drying and floor installation

  • Light foot traffic: typically after ~3 hours.
  • Many floor coverings: typically after ~12 hours (temperature/humidity dependent).

What thickness can I apply in one coat?
Ultraplan Eco 3210 is designed for 3–10mm per coat. If you need a second coat after the first has fully dried, the surface should be primed appropriately before applying the next layer.
How soon can I walk on it and lay flooring?
Typical guidance is light foot traffic after ~3 hours and floor coverings after ~12 hours. For wood flooring, allow around 24 hours. Times vary with temperature, humidity and airflow.
Is it suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes. It’s suitable for screeds incorporating underfloor heating and can be used as a self-leveller over electrical underfloor heating systems, provided the substrate is correctly prepared and primed.

Non-sample orders under 50kg will be dispatched via DPD or APC Overnight. Non-sample orders over 50kg (quarter, half, and full pallets) will be dispatched via Palletways or Kandrmason (curbside delivery only).

30-day return window

Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery. You also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right from the date of receipt.

Items must be unused & in original packaging

Returned goods must be uninstalled, unaltered and in the same condition as received.

Installed or cut items cannot be returned

Once tiles or materials have been cut, altered or installed, no return or refund is possible under any circumstances.

How to start a return

Contact us first at info@tileexperience.co.uk or call 0208 689 4187. Send the item back with your name and order number. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Refund to original payment method

Processed within 3–5 working days of us receiving and approving your return.

Original delivery charges are not refunded. If no refund after 15 business days, contact us.

Damaged or incorrect items

Report within 48 hours of receipt. Email info@tileexperience.co.uk with your order number and photos of the damage. Confirmed replacements are sent next working day at no charge.

Non-stocked brands — restocking fee may apply

Returns for Genesis, Marmox and Bihui carry up to a 20% restocking fee. Schluter trims: 35% standard return, 15% if returning with a replacement order.

Cancellations

Cancel before dispatch for a full refund including delivery. Cancel after dispatch by rejecting the delivery — refund for goods only, not the delivery charge.

Important: Do not book a tiler or fitter until your order has arrived and been fully checked. Installed tiles cannot be returned.
