All Weather Brush-In Paving Joint Compound
Fusion Premixed Paving Jointing Compound
Fusion is a premixed paving jointing compound designed for quick and easy filling of joints between paving slabs, setts, patios and pathways. Suitable for natural stone and concrete paving, this brush-in joint compound creates a neat, durable, weed-resistant and frost-resistant finish for pedestrian outdoor areas.
The ready-to-use formula requires no mixing and can be applied in damp conditions, making it a practical choice for UK garden patios, paved walkways and landscaping projects where weather can be unpredictable.
Key Benefits
- Premixed and ready to use: supplied ready for application, with no separate mixing required before use.
- Brush-in application: simply brush the compound into the paving joints for a fast and straightforward installation.
- All-weather paving joint compound: suitable for use in light rain and damp conditions, helping outdoor projects continue when the weather changes.
- Ideal for patios and paths: perfect for garden patios, pathways, paving slabs, concrete setts and pedestrian outdoor areas.
- Suitable for natural stone and concrete paving: designed for use with natural stone slabs, concrete paving slabs and concrete setts.
- For joints from 3mm and above: suitable for paving joint widths of 3mm or wider, making it compatible with many common patio and path layouts.
- Weed-resistant finish: forms a firm joint that helps reduce weed growth compared with loose sand-filled joints.
- Frost-resistant performance: suitable for outdoor paving areas exposed to changing UK weather conditions.
- Permeable jointing compound: allows water to drain through the joint, helping reduce standing water when used with a suitable permeable bedding base.
- Cement-free and non-hazardous: provides a cleaner and easier-to-handle alternative to traditional cement-based paving jointing methods.
- Helps prevent staining: designed to create clean joints without staining the paving surface when applied correctly.
- Available in popular paving colours: choose from Neutral Buff, Mid Grey, Basalt and Black to match or contrast with your paving slabs.
Where Can Fusion Be Used?
- Garden patios and outdoor seating areas
- Pedestrian pathways and walkways
- Natural stone paving slabs
- Concrete paving slabs and concrete setts
- Outdoor paving projects with foot traffic only
Important Installation Notes
- Fusion should be used on a suitable permeable bedding base so water can drain away correctly.
- The paving surface should be wet before application, and excess material should be removed from the surface before curing.
- Avoid applying during heavy rain, freezing temperatures or where the paving base does not allow drainage.
- Cold and wet weather can increase curing time, so allow extra time before using the paved area.
- Fusion is not recommended for porcelain paving. For porcelain slabs, use a specialist porcelain jointing compound.
Why Choose Fusion Paving Joint Compound?
Fusion is ideal for customers looking for a simple brush-in paving grout that saves time on installation while delivering a strong, clean and attractive joint. It is especially useful for patios and pathways where a low-maintenance jointing solution is required without the complexity of traditional mortar pointing.
Its permeable, cement-free formula helps support better drainage through the paving joints, while the weed-resistant and frost-resistant finish makes it a reliable option for outdoor paving projects.
Approximate Coverage Per 15kg Tub
Coverage will vary depending on paving size, joint width, joint depth and site conditions. The figures below are approximate and based on a 15kg tub.
| Joint Size | 600x600mm Slabs | Four Size Indian Stone Series | 100x100mm Setts |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 x 25mm | 20m² | 17.2m² | 3.33m² |
| 10 x 25mm | 10m² | 8.6m² | 1.67m² |
| 15 x 25mm | 6.67m² | 5.7m² | 1.11m² |
Always allow extra material for wastage, uneven joint depths, wide joints and site variation.
